Below are listed the area's that
P.C.M.A. Hombu will examine with regards to certifying instructors. Instructors are
evaluated for proficiency in these area's then instructors are registered
with Hombu as "National
Certified Instructors", National Certified Instructors that are certified and prove
to be "outstanding" may become "National Certified Instructor
Examiners". (25+ years of experience
teaching.), these examiners may at their discretion examine and certify
Instructors. National Certified Instructor Examiners must have (25+ years
of experience), no exceptions.
Teaching methodology
The examiner will watch the "Black Belt acting sensei", teach
students using their method of teaching. The examiner will verify that the
"acting sensei" effectively cover all details of the techniques
taught to insure that the students acquire the meaning of the motions,
consequences, balance, timing, effectively demonstrated in application using
a "system" of teaching that effectively reaches all of the students
present. Basically to determine if the "acting sensei" is already
good at teaching?
The examiner will then effectively demonstrate several "stair
stepping" methods of teaching that will "make clear" how the
mind works and learns movement based on establishing a foundation of skill
and then building on that foundation. The examiner will "make
clear" how to teach the average student taking into consideration: Age,
size/strength and different learning speeds, how to separate students by
speed and skill and make use of Jr. instructors in effectively running a
Dojo. The examiner will demonstrate how violation of these principles could
hamper learning or insult the students and "clearly" show the
"acting sensei's" the difference between "showing" and
"teaching".....
The examiner will then take turns having the "acting sensei's"
actually teach using the methods demonstrated. This is to be done in a way
that is fun, yet "making clear" how practice and time is needed to
actually be able to smoothly use these methods. The "acting
students" will pull stunts to "test" the "acting sensei's
" ability to actually see what’s going on in class and their reaction to
it and how they fix or handle the situation while still running a smooth
class. The examiner will offer solutions to all problems encountered and if
necessary demonstrate for each "acting sensei" how to fix or handle
situations.
The examiner will give all "acting sensei's" a chance to talk to
the group about their experiences. Only if the "acting sensei's"
can demonstrate effective teaching which is agreeable to the others may they
acquire a "Certified Instructors Title" which can only be issued by
Hombu. "All certified instructors by Hombu must attend this course
regardless of rank" Hombu will certify the first "Certified
examiners".....
