                         (Grab arts)   1,2,3   Kenpo 1 up to the 4th movement

                          (slow dance) Tai Chi one for learning

 

    Blue Belt      (Grab arts)    4,5,6, club 1,2,3  knives 1,2,3  Gun 1

                          (kicks)         back, turnback, crescent, hooks, forward leg sweeps

                          (Forms)       Death dance 1, 2, 3, kenpo one up to 9th movement

                          (sparring)     daily free style sparring / tournament competition

                          (break falls)  forward break fall, backward break fall

                                                Slow dance of Death dances and tai chi one

 

     Brown Belt   (Grab Arts)  7,8,9  Gun 2

                           (kicks)         spin heel and spin crescent, jumping back snap

                            (forms)       Kenpo one  (up to the back kick).

                            (Chi Kung)  basic principles of Chi Kung and Tai Chi application.

 

 

     Black Belt    (grab arts)    10,11,12  freestyle knife/club defense

                           (sparring)    daily free style sparring

                           (forms)        Completion of Kenpo one  (slow/ medium / fast speeds)

                           (Meditation)  understanding of simple meditation and chi kung principles.

                                                 Tournament competition in brown belt division (forms/fighting)

 

All kicking / striking / sparring / tournament competition from others styles are accepted.

Proficiency in forms, grab arts, knives, clubs, guns must be done smoothly with no breaks in between movements, as if its all done in “one motion”.    Anyone getting rank in this style must be certified by Professor Brooks before attempting to teach what they know to others.
