Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

 

1964  Started training under Master Alvaro Barreto 8th Dan Professor.

          He learned from Master Joao Alberto Barreto 9th dan

         Ricardo also trained under Grandmaster Flavio Behring

          Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was handed down by Helio Gracie

 

Judo

 

Black belt 1st degree issued by the Brazilian Judo Federation since 1972.

Training came among others :  Professor Georges Medhi, Leopoldo De Lucca, Haruo Nagashima, Isao Okano, Yasuhiro Kashiwasaki, Y. Yamamoto, and Toshiro Daigo.

 

Boxing          

 

Trained extensively with Professor Santa Rosa, Kyokushin Kai Karate with Professor Seichi Isobe and Kru Robert Myrick, who learned from  Muay Thai boxing expert Kru Surachai Sirasute.

 

Weapons 

                 

CQB master instructor/MOAB instructor/Reality based instructor (Jim Wagner).   Founder of the “Union World Fighting Team” with more than ten affiliated schools in Brazil, U.S.A., South Africa and New Zealand.  Ricardo Murgel is now Consultant of  Professional Combined Martial Arts in charge of all Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training and testing and has affiliated with P.C.M.A. which now handles  promotions for Mr. Murgel.

 

Combat Jujitsu

 

Promoted to fifth degree in Shin Shin Jujitsu in honor of his devoted work in Mixed Martial Arts by Professional Combined Martial Arts board of directors.  Shin Shin Jujitsu make use of a full range of Hand to Hand combat techniques perfect for MMA.
