The President and Vice President run the organization with input from the board. Dictate organizational policy (must not conflict with “mission statement or Constitution” Discuss and decide on promotions (Yodan or Higher) (Professor majority vote decides) Each board member has the power to “call a rank test” for high level promotions Discuss and decide on club membership issues Discuss and decide on how money collected each year will be spent (treasurer presents this) Direction of PCMA must be approved by V.P. and President with input from the board. Board members must possess a “multi art” philosophy putting none above another. Board member must openly discuss problems and not hold prejudices based on the past. Board members must stay focused on “what's right” director of operations watches this. Discuss and decide on public relation issues Discuss and decide on conflicts involving clubs when the club owner cannot resolve it President and V.P. positions are handed down by themselves with input from the board. Director positions can be handed down, but only with majority vote by the entire board. The size of the board shall not exceed 6 people With majority vote professors can violate the Rank guidelines and time and grade policy. Assigning titles shall be done by the President and V.P. with board input. Votes will be done by majority vote only (no secret votes, all board members will be used) Only board members will attend board meetings (unless voted on by the entire board) Board members can be deemed “inactive” and retired by the President and V.P. (board members that are involved will be included in the decision making process) (Involved is defined as: “Actually using P.C.M.A. for all promotions”, and regularly, openly communicating with other board members to stay on top of business, and supporting decisions that are voted on.) |
