   Bob Pearson started taking Tae Kwon Do in 1978 at the local YMCA in Augusta Ga.  In 1979 he joined Rubio’s Martial Arts at Fort Gordon (it was a combined style but, mostly Tae Kwon Do).  In the early 80’s he trained in UFAF under Skeet Chambers in Augusta and Ken Ludlow at Fort Gordon earning the rank of 1st Keup (red belt).

 

    In the mid 80’s several school owners in the southeast (former UFAF instructors) formed the Southern Tang Soo Do Association.   Bob earned his first  black belt in December of 1989 in Tang Soo Do under Skeet Chambers, Ken Ludlow and Gary Jones (former president of Tang Soo Do Association) and his second Dan Black belt in August of 1994.

 

    He had his own school for 10 years and then took a two year break (after his third back surgery).  He then started training and teaching at various schools.  He then received his 3rd dan  black belt in July 17th 2004 in Shin Nagare Karate from PCMA .   He started his school again in September of 2004 and is currently teaching at three locations.
