·          The  5th dan is considered the highest fighting  ability rank / 6th Dan “Master teacher “with 30 years.

·          The 8th and 9th Dans are political ranks primarily to serve the organization.

·          Shidoshi Sho “lesser advice person” (Yodan)   Shidoshi Dai “greater advice person”  (Yodan or higher)

·          (Shidoshi Sho / Dai are red and black paneled belts

·          Renshi Sho “lesser polished person” (Yodan) (white side up), Renshi Dai “greater” (Godan) red up

·          Ceremonial positions are not automatic and must be earned “voted by board of directors”

·          Professor Kyoshi Sho “lesser faithful man” 6th dan  or higher (red / white belt) silver stripe

·          Professor Kyoshi Dai “ greater faithful man” 7th dan or higher (red / white belt) gold stripe

·          No Black belt shall promote another sensei’s students without their expressed permission.

*      A rank test may be called by “any” board member for Yodan or higher and for ceremonial belts.

·          please don’t stray from these guidelines without Hombu’s approval.

·          Stripes may be added in between the belts (denote this on the promotion request form.).
